Artificial Intelligence in Education course, a part of the innovative project “浙江大学本校教师主导本科全英文课程建设,” has been hosting a series of in-depth lectures by global experts. Each session is tailored to enhance the students’ understanding of AI’s multifaceted role in education.

On September 27, 2023, Professor Wang Wei from Nanjing Normal University delivered an enlightening online lecture on “Machine Learning for Educational Applications.” Prof. Wang’s comprehensive presentation skillfully demystified machine learning, delving into its core principles and diverse algorithms. She emphasized the innovative integration of machine learning in educational technologies, showcasing practical examples and successes from her laboratory’s projects. This insightful lecture not only highlighted the theoretical underpinnings of machine learning but also its transformative impact on educational methodologies and tools.

On October 13, 2023, Professor Hwang Wu-Yuin from Taiwan Central University delivered an engaging face-to-face lecture titled “Natural Language Processing in Education.” In this session, Prof. Hwang expertly unraveled the complexities of Natural Language Processing (NLP), elucidating its pivotal role in the realm of educational technology.
